WINTER STORM WARNING REMAINS IN EFFECT UNTIL MIDNIGHT MDT THURSDAY NIGHT
* WHAT...Heavy snow expected. Additional snow accumulations between 4 and 9 inches up to pass level, with 8 to 14 inches in the mountains. Winds gusting up to 40 mph at times.
* WHERE...Gallatin and Madison County Mountains and Centennial Mountains.
* WHEN...Until midnight MDT Thursday Night.
* IMPACTS...Travel could be very difficult and tire chains may be required for some vehicles. Falling and or blowing snow may significantly reduce visibility. Those in the backcountry should ensure they are prepared for dangerous conditions. Isolated power outages and or tree damage possible.
PRECAUTIONARY/PREPAREDNESS ACTIONS...
If you must travel, keep an extra flashlight, food, and water in your vehicle in case of an emergency. The latest road conditions can be obtained by calling 5 1 1 or visiting the MDT Road Report website.
